Christmas Breakfast:Eggnog Waffles

Merry Christmas! I hope you all are having a wonderful holiday. My day started out with these delicious eggnog waffles and I just had to share the recipe with you. They are so easy to make and will come in handy with any left over eggnog you have. I hope the rest of your day is filled with lots of love and laughter.

Eggnog Waffles

  • 1 ½ cups eggnog
  •  6 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tbs sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tbs bourbon
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 package active dry yeast

Add all ingredients to a large bowl. Mix until combined. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise at room temperature for an hour.  Transfer bowl to refrigerator and chill overnight. If you don’t want to wait, you can make waffles after the hour is up.

Preheat waffle iron and spray with non-stick cooking spray. Fill waffle iron with amount recommended by the manufacturer in the center of the iron. Cook waffles until golden brown. Serve with powdered sugar and maple syrup.
