Trastevere is a great area in Rome, filled with shops, bars, and restaurants. It’s a great place to grab dinner and hang out for a while with an after dinner drink. There so many restaurants to choose from, but our favorite was Hostaria La Botticella. We ended up here two nights in a row. It is a little tricky to find if you don’t know the area, but it is well worth it. You are greeted with a glass of prosecco and a warm smile. The restaurant offers daily specials and a great wine list with affordable bottles. We also tried pizza at Dar Poeta, which many people believe is the best pizza in Rome. The pizza was great, but I can’t really give it the title of the best. This restaurant can get very crowded so if you don’t feel like waiting, order to go and have your pizza in the piazza just a few steps away.
Delicious wine, wish I could find it here!
