Maple Glazed Bacon with Pecans

I wanted to share this recipe for the bacon I made for my birthday brunch. It’s super easy and is so delicious! This is a definite must try for any bacon lover.

This recipe is extremely easy, you don’t need exact measurements for anything. All you need is:

  • Bacon (I used a thicker cut)
  • Maple Syrup
  • Brown Sugar
  • Crushed Pecans

Line a sheet pan with parchment paper and arrange strips of bacon leaving some space in between each piece. Brush bacon with maple syrup, sprinkle with brown sugar and top with crushed pecans. Place bacon in a 250 degree oven and check after an hour.  The cook time will depend on the thickness of your bacon. I let mine cook about one hour 45 minutes, but got a little antsy the last half hour and turned the oven up to 275. Cook until bacon is a deep red color and cooked to your likeness.

This is great for your next breakfast/brunch but also makes a great snack. Enjoy!

  1. This looks great. There’s a restaurant near me that has sweet and spicy bacon and I swear it’s some mixture of brown sugar and cayenne but I haven’t quite nailed it for cooking it at home.
