Crab Tostada

This recipe is nice and light making it perfect for summer. It’s super easy to make and only uses a few ingredients.

A nice balance of sweet from the mango and a little heat from the jalapeño.  The freshest ingredients and best crab you can find will make this dish shine.

Crab Tostada

  • 1 cup lump crab meat
  • 1/4 cup diced mango
  • 1/4 cup diced tomato, seeded
  • 1 jalapeño, thinly sliced (adjust for your taste)
  • 1 tbs fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 2 corn tortillas
  • oil for frying
  • chopped cilantro for garnish

Combine crab with mango, tomato, jalapeño, lime juice, and olive oil. Stir to combine and season with salt to your taste. let mixture sit about 15 minutes so that the flavors have time to combine.

Heat 1/2 inch of oil in a pan on medium high. Fry corn tortillas one at a time for approximately 30 seconds per side until crisp. Drain on paper towel and sprinkle with a little salt.

To serve, top each tortilla with half of crab mixture and garnish with chopped cilantro.
